Hi Friends,

Our August meeting is next tomorrow. Our very own Clarence Wong has volunteered to present on navigating the digital world (details below). We hope you can join us as we learn how to avoid scams!

We had originally planned to discuss insurance information for open enrollment. We found the Patient Advocate Foundation to be a wonderful resource for insurance-based questions. The have offerings on Medicare, Insurance Enrollment, Insurance Benefits, and Insurance Communication.

Topic: Navigating the Digital World

Clarence, one of our stroke survivors, will lead us in a discussion about navigating the digital world from "good guy and bad guy" perspectives. We can't wait to learn more!

July Meeting Recap

Thank you to Brain Injury Services for presenting to us in July! They have many wonderful programs and resources.

Directions

  • Parking: Use Entrance #2 to park in the Zone E (Purple) Garage. The cost is $7/day. Metered street parking is also available on 19th Street North and North Edison Street.
  • Public Transportation: The ART 51 and ART 52 buses stop at the Outpatient Pavilion at the corner of North George Mason Drive and 19th Street North.
  • Meeting Location:
    • Enter the Outpatient Pavilion (Zone E Lobby) either from the Zone E garage or from the traffic circle at the front of the building
    • Take the stairs or elevator down to the Garden Level. The Garden Level Conference Room will be to the left of the waiting area.
